The nice thing about
being trained as a
SCUBA instructor, is
that you are prepared
to handle any
situation, including
those where the
panicked victims try
to crawl on top of
your head to save
themselves.
The professional
instructor will
then comfort the
panicked, and
once the situation
is under control,
convince them to
try the skill again.
Our
poolman
has been
MIA since
the winds.
We tried our best to
get Belle to swim.
She wanted to
sleep. Her attempt
to paddle was a bit
reminiscent of a
manatee. Only they
move faster.
Take a real close look at
Jeff's right hand. Belle's
paws are wrapped so
tightly around it, that
Jeff is having a tough
time pulling away.
We dug out
Kodie's old
"recovery" float
coat to see if
that would help.
Nope. Belle
floated, that's it.
We'll try again
later.
The water is very cold
(hence Jeff's dry
suit), so we're
keeping the sessions
short.
